The Nguu Masumba By election was held yesterday, 14 October. Among the political aspirants that were on the ballot include; the United Democratic Alliance UDA party candidate, Daniel Kivuva Musau, the Wiper party candidate Eshio Maundu Mwauva, and the Independent candidate Timothy Maneno.
According to the results, the Independent candidate Timothy Maneno managed to win the race after scoring 2894 votes, 43 percent of the total votes. The United Democratic Alliance party candidate Daniel Kivuva Musau made second position with 2223 votes, 33 percent and the the wiper party candidate Eshio Maundu Mwauva made third position with 1601 votes, 24 percent.
Even as this happens, the Wiper leader Kalonzo Msyoka and the ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi were spotted campaigning for the wiper candidate Mwaiwa before the exercise.
On the other hand, the ODM leader Raila Odinga has said that he had a hand in campaigns of the Independent candidate Timothy Maneno.
