After the embarrassing incident in Kisii, that involved Senator Millicent Omanga, she has come out to defend herself. Omanga accuses Governor Ongwae of denying her the chance to give her speech.
"About yesterday,I was to speak at the event but Gov Ongwae refused to give me the mic because of my political persuasion yet he planned to give other women leaders a chance to speak. This is the discrimination I rejected before the hired goons were persuaded accost me", she posted.
"For clarity, the funeral was in bomachoge where I’m married thus it goes without saying as a leader from that area I deserved to speak.Sijui MC aliogopa nini.I’m Unbowed!" She added.
Many social media users, however, seemed to have been disappointed by her actions, and many blamed her for acting inappropriately.
" Still ma'am all women me included we should carry ourselves with utmost decency amidst men crowds and especially in places you are married to!" One user commented.
"Tunakupenda senator, but hii Tabia ya kutaka kupigana na wanaume ,hatuipendi. You should apologize to all men in kenya. BAD IMAGE", another user reacted.
