2022 Politics: Nyanza Top Lawyer Issues a Statement Moment After Kondele Incident

The incident which took place in Kondele, Kisumu county where the deputy president William Ruto's convoy was pelted with stones is eliciting a lot of reactions as the country heads to the much awaited general elections in few months time.

Taking to his social media platforms, one of the Nyanza region top lawyers, Steve Ogolla castigated the incident and advised the Nyanza residents avoid engaging in such activities and give all the presidential hopefuls equal opportunity to sell their policies.

Ogolla further warned them that by disrupting the deputy president William Ruto's political activities in the region, they are doing more harm to the former prime minister Raila Odinga than Ruto himself.

"By stoning deputy president William Ruto's motorcade, you are in fact, you are decampaigning and reversing Raila Odinga's support across the country," Ogolla tweeted.

The deputy president has been in the Nyanza region from Tuesday 9th November, where he has been drumming up support for his presidential bid as well as popularizing his bottom-up economic approach.
