After being nominated as Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Alliance deputy presidential candidate, Hon Martha Karua has been working around the clock in efforts to popularize Raila Odinga's State House bid. The move sent Kenya Kwanza Alliance back to the drawing board.
Deputy President William Ruto, his running mate Rigathi Gachagua, Hon Musalia Mudavadi and Senator Moses Wetangula have been holding separate fora and rallies in a bid to counter the influence of the Azimio duo; Karua and Raila.
After being entrusted with the position, Karua thanked Raila Odinga. However, she is not on record thanking President Uhuru Kenyatta who also doubles as the Chairman of Azimio. It is worth noting that Uhuru's Jubilee Party of Kenya submitted the names of Sabina Chege and Peter Kenneth to be considered for the running mate position but Karua was lucky enough to nominated.
City Lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi has this afternoon taken to his Twitter account and directed a question to his fellow Senior Counsel, Martha Karua. He asked why she didn't thank Uhuru for her nomination.
