In Nyandarua County, the land cabinet secretary in President William Ruto's administration has sparked hilarity by recounting what his ex-girlfriend did to him after he was appointed a few months ago.
Zacharia Njeru had nothing to hide as he spoke to the crowd at a thanksgiving event held at the residence of Rebecca Miano, the cabinet secretary of the East African Community, and shared his experience with love.
Njeru has related how a woman he was interested in marrying flatly declined his proposal because he couldn't live up to her standard of living.
Njeru claims that his ex-girlfriend just called him on the phone to congratulate him on being chosen by Ruto. He continued by saying that after receiving the rejection, she stopped waiting for her.
"After I was appointed a cabinet secretary, my ex girlfriend called me the following morning but I told her that I didn't wait for her after what she did," said CS Zacharia Njeru.
