Today has been the 3rd day of submission by different lawyers for the President-elect William Samoei Ruto, Raila Odinga and Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
James Orengo was lawyer for Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Alliance that's for Raila Odinga and Lawyer Githu Muigai was representing United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party that's for William Ruto.
Briefly let's have look at what these two lawyers submitted at the Supreme trying to defend their respondant.
Lawyer James Orengo: It doesn't matter the numbers you get in an election, the process matters. The constitution has told us how to conduct an election.
Lawyer Githu Muigai: Petitioners are not replying to questions, they are giving a new case, we need an opportunity to reply.
Lawyer James Orengo: Impunity must be punished. Impunity unpunished breeds arrogance and arrogance leads to arbitrary exercise of power.
Lawyer Githu Muigai: My learned friend Mr. Orengo needs lunch now, he's heckling.
