The national treasury ministry has come forward to announce the hundreds of millions of shillings that president Uhuru Kenyatta's administration has set aside for William Ruto's big day on Tuesday of next week.
The inauguration of President-elect Dr. William Ruto and Vice President-elect Rigathi Gachagua is scheduled to take place on Tuesday of next week, and the Nation reports that Kshs 200M has been allocated by the Ministry of National Treasury. According to the charter of 2010, the day will be set aside as a holiday for the whole populace.
"The allocation of Kshs 200 million under the Executive Office of the President is provided for in the National Treasury for Assumption of Office activities," the government announced.
That's happening when it becomes clear that Rigathi Gachagua and Dr. William Ruto will be sworn into office under the watchful eyes of two prominent figures. As required by law, they are High Court registrar and Chief Justice Martha Koome.
