JUST IN: President Museveni Announces Lockdown & 7PM - 6AM Curfew as Ebola Wreaks Havoc

President Yoweri Museveni has announced new measures to fight the deadly ebola disease that is currently wreaking havoc in the landlocked country

Sources from Uganda this evening have revealed that President Museveni has put in place key measures to contain the killer virus.

The measures include a lockdown in two districts, where people are not allowed to move in or out of the restricted regions.

Mubende and Kassanda districts are under lockdown. President Museveni has said no one should be allowed to leave or enter the two districts that have recorded a high number of ebola cases as well as related deaths

According to the Daily Monitor, Nation's sister newspaper, the President has also declared a curfew that will run from 7pm to 6am, starting today until further notice.

The curfew will affect those living in Mubende and Kassanda districts

"Movement into and out of districts Mubende and Kassanda restricted to contain Ebola. The districts have also been put under curfew from 7pm-6am," read the update
