Atwoli finally speaks about his hilarious phrase

'Alaa' is a word phrase commonly used by the popular Kenyan Francis Atwoli. The word has gone viral on TV and social media for it is used to express shock or surprise. The Central Trade Union Organisation secretary general Francis Atwoli has finally clarified he does not intend to patent 'shenzi sana and alaa' phrase as was previously reported. This is after he was on Citizen TV on October 20 as reported by Tuko.

He added that his lawyers have applied the exclusive use of the popular exclamation. He further clarified that kenyans are free to use the word.

According to Atwoli, he even wrote in July to Kenya Industrial Property Institute with the need to license the words to his name and to retain their use in clothing, footwear and headgear.

KIPI later posed that anyone wishing to oppose Atwoli was to file an opposition request before December 29. Holding that local opponent to file with Ksh 5000 and foreign opponent Ksh 25000.

Whats your opinion on Atwoli's phrase? Should it be licensed? Share and follow us for updates.
