"Arrest Chebukati" Reports On Who Ordered The Arrest Of IEBC Chair After William Ruto Won Elections

Details have emerged on who ordered Chebukati to be arrested when it emerged that William Ruto had won presidential race. Vice Chair Juliana Cherera was supposed to declare Azimio leader Raila Odinga as the winner of August 9 poll just after disowning what was happening at Bomas tallying center.According to Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, former Interior PS Karanja Kibicho, who was among the top official to facilitate the plan changed tune against Azimio. Babu Owino said that there plans to have Chebukati arrested before announcing the results. However PS Kibicho failed to follow his order. This is the main reason why Cherera had to skip off the IEBC Chairperson's decision to announce Ruto as the president.
