It has been a mixed emotions day in which the Azimio la Umoja team named Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua as the running mate of Raila Odinga, as well as it is the day when Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka opted to leave Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party after being snubbed on the position.
Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka announced that he will be vying for Presidency on an independent ticket and also went ahead to name his running mate which came as a huge shock.

According to K24 digital news reports, United Democratic Alliance party chairman Johnson Muthama took this opportunity to urge Kalonzo Musyoka to join the Kenya Kwanza team as he is always welcomed there.
"They said that Mudavadi and Wetangula were poached and signed an agreement with DP Ruto. We are also open for my brother Kalonzo Musyoka to join us and form the next Government." Muthama stated.
