Irungu Kang'ata 'Animal Mistreatment' as He Campaigns for UDA Lands Him in Trouble

Murang'a Senator Irungu Kang'ata has today suffered the wrath of passionate Kenyans who care for the welfare of animals as he campaigned for his party of choice UDA.

Through his Twitter handle, Kang'ata urged Murang'a residents to go out in huge numbers and register as voters as we head to 2022 elections.

"Dear Muranga resident ,IEBC has Enhanced continuous voter registration exercise starting on 4th October to 2nd November 2021,for 30 days," the former senate majority whip tweeted.

"Every ward has 3 BVR kits manned by 2 clerks each from 8.00 to 5.00 daily . Register now to install a govt that cares for you- UDA govt," he added.

However, what irked a lot of Kenyans is the choice of the image he used with many interpreting it as animal cruelty and unnecessary. Below is a screenshot of the tweet and reactions from Kenyans:

"Animal welfare issues here," Dr. Maritim said.

"Are you happy to see a grown up abusing an animal/bird ? I think education is overrated .Sad," Peter Muriuki added.

"This is abuse of animal rights, where are those animal rights actvitists to take this one to court ASAP!" Another Kenyan tweeted.
