Twist as Kihika Asks Ruto to Retain Port in Naivasha as it Used to be Under Jubilee Administration

Nakuru County governor Hon Susan Kihika has put the head of state and her Kenya Kwanza Alliance coalition boss honourable William Samoei Ruto to test after asking him to shelf one of his political plans that he promised to do during the campaign period.

As she was restructuring her Nakuru county's administration, Ms Kihika pleaded with President Ruto to shelf his plans of reverting the Naivasha dry port from Nakuru city back to Mombasa city and let it remain as it used to be under former jubilee administration.

During his Inaguration ceremony that was conducted at the Kasarani stadium, Hon Ruto in his first Presidential speech returned the clearance office to Mombasa, canceling his predecessor’s initiative.

Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta had relocated the clearance office especially for South Sudan, Kenya and Uganda from Mombasa to Naivasha in bid to minimize the long distance covered by transporters and to ensure fast transportation of their goods and the move not only generated revenue to the county of Nakuru but also served as an employment point to some people.
