Kieni constituency parliamentary candidate hon.Chieni has claimed that his life is under threat. The UDA candidate seeking to unseat Hon.Kanini has claimed the numerous attacks on his supporters shows that his life is being targeted.
Speaking to media houses,he has recounted the attacks on his driver, security and his supporters and expresses fears that he could be the next.
He blames and accuses hon.Kanini of organising his supporters to clobber and kidnap his close associates.
He is not the first candidate to accuse Hon.Kanini of causing violence as MCA hon.Kawanjiku had alleged that he organised goons to disrupt the funeral ceremony of his late wife.
Hon.Chieni also added that in the last week alone,his billboards worth 2.5 million had been destroyed by unknown people . He know wants the IEBC and the inspector general of police to act immediately.
Several leaders including Nyeri youth leader have accused the police of business. He claims that they are not providing enough security for UDA candidates.
