Raila Odinga was forced to intervene when the crowd he was addressing began to chant ‘Hatutaki Whelbarrow’. In response to this Raila informed them that the only way was to register as voters and ensure that they take part in the next general election which is only months ahead. He insisted that this was the only solution.
Raila Speaking at the event
Raila was severally forced to halt his speech when the crowd started to chant anti-Ruto slogans when he was speaking. Raila also urged them not to be easily swayed by politicians who have no interest in bringing change to the country as they stand for personal gains.
He concluded his speech by saying that the nation is ready for change and that he is the change needed by the country to make strides. His sentiments were echoed by several other politicians who accompanied him to the meeting venue.
