To facilitate the achievement of the government agenda, President Uhuru Kenyatta has made various changes to ministries targeting chief administrative secretaries and permanent secretaries positions. Some new people have been appointed, others reshuffled from one ministry to another while others have been sacked.

Nakuru County has lost in the process as the former Subukia constituency MP Hon Nelson Gaichuhie has been sacked as CAS National Treasury. Gaichuhie has served in this post since 2018 and through his good reputation in holding public offices, he was not suched when his senior Henry Rotich and other senior officials were sucked.

On the other hand, Tharaka Nithi County and Meru at large have benefited from the new changes after two appointments from the region in the position of chief administrative secretaries. Hon Mburi Muiru has been appointed as CAS for lands and Professor Michemi Ntiba CAS for the State Law Office.

Leaders from this region including Kithure Kindiki have appreciated the move thanking the president for appointing the two CAS from this region.
