Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula brings Bungoma county to a standstill as he campaigns for the ford Kenya Party aspirant Wafula Wakoli seeking to replace him as the senator.

Bungoma senatorial seat fell vacant after Moses Wetangula was elected to serve in the National Assembly as the Speaker. However, the by-election is set for the 8th of December, and eight candidates continue to consolidate their bids as they aim to outwit each other.

The three top candidates are Mabonga of President William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance (UDA), Wafula Wamunyinyi of the Democratic Action Party of Kenya under the Azimio la Umoja Coalition, and Ford Kenya's Wafula Wakoli.

Moses Wetangula is accompanied by Kimilili Member of Parliament Didymus Barasa of the UDA and other legislators.

Nonetheless, the Speaker asks the resident to vote for Wakoli because he understands him and has worked in his office for ten years. Wafula was Moses Wetangula's long-time Personal Assistant.
