It has now emerged that Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party leader Raila Odinga silently jetted out of the country.
The Opposition Leader on Sunday, 15 January 2023, took to social media and revealed that he is currently in South Africa
The exact day that the ODM leader left the country is not known.
In South Africa, he was hosted by the South African Minister of Tourism Lindiwe Sisulu in the city of Johannesburg.
Raila revealed he was hosted by the Minister for a consultative meeting, but details of the meeting remain scanty.
"A consultative meeting with the South African Minister of Tourism, @LindiweSisuluSA, in the vibrant city of Johannesburg," the ODM leader tweeted before his host retweeted.
His meeting with the South African Minister comes a few days after Raila held another meeting with Jane Marriott, the UK's High Commissioner to Kenya
Raila said the discussed matters of cooperation between Kenya and the UK.
"We discussed the situation in the country, and potential areas of collaboration, and agreed to consult on a regular basis to discuss matters of national and mutual interest," Raila had revealed.
