Cabinet Secretary for Defense has thanked president William Ruto for his continues good well for the people of NEP.
"I was honoured as the Chief Guest at the homecoming and thanksgiving ceremony of the PS, Culture and Heritage, Hon. Ummi Bashir at Wajir Resort, Wajir County.
The auspicious ceremony brought together national and regional leaders, and residents of Wajir County and the larger North Eastern Province (NEP).
We thanked President William Ruto for the much he has continued to do for the people of NEP, most recently, for the appointment of Hon. Ummi. Through hard work and diligence, she has set a precedence for women empowerment and is an inspiration to many girls across the country.
I also took the opportunity to echo the President's call for a united country that starts with the unification of communities by their local leaders. Regardless of our political inclinations in the last elections, it is important we team together to build our beloved nation.
On behalf of the people of NEP, I want to wish our sister and PS, Hon. Ummi well as she serves the people of Kenya. May this be the first of many ceilings you break". Said Hon. Aden Duale Cabinet Secretary For Defense.
