Former prime minister Raila Odinga reaps big as Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance backs three powerful seats in the Rift Valley region. Perhaps, the Rift Valley region is perceived as Deputy President William Ruto's battalion of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.

However, the outcome of the 9th of August general election is nearly completed in all counties across the country except Kakamega Mombasa counties. Consequently, the Kenya Kwanza Alliance and the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance are the top political blocs striving to obtain many seats in the next administration.

Accordingly, Azimio reaps big as Narok county incumbent senator Ledama Olekina retains the seat after garnering 135,180 votes under the ODM party against the outgoing governor Samuel Tunai of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) who obtained 117,869 votes.

Furthermore, Joseph Ole Lenku of the ODM was re-elected as Kajiado county governor after polling 117,600 votes against Katoo Metito of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) with 111,725.
