Speaker Wetangula hosts president Ruto for lunch at the legislator's canteen in parliament

Today afternoon, president William Ruto made a impromptu visit to national assembly buildings as members of parliament were debating his speech at the parliament.

The head of state unannounced visit caught some of the legislators in aware. He interacted with some of members of parliament before meeting national assembly speaker Moses Wetangula.

Afterwards, speaker Moses Wetangula hosted the head of state for a lunch at the member's canteen in the parliament buildings before leaving.

Several legislators allied to Kenya Kwanza Alliance were in attendance led by the alliance deputy majority leader nominee, Kilifi North legislator Owen Baya.

Speaker Moses Wetangula is scheduled to make a verdict on majority stalemate on Thursday afternoon.

Kenya Kwanza Alliance led by president William Ruto is keen on getting the majority status in the national assembly.
