Martha Karua who is also a senior counsel is often referred to as the iron lady due to her efforts and hard work throughout her political career. She is also known for speaking her mind and had been in the forefront in fighting the BBI bill.
In an interview with Ebru Tv where she was asked her choice between Ruto and Raila, she said clearly that she would obviously support Raila giving reasons that Raila is a person who has worked for this country and a person who she has worked with.

About Ruto, Martha Karua has said she considers him totally unsuitable and that's her view as an individual adding she has the right to speak her mind.
She finally added that nobody is perfect but if given the two she wouldn't have to think and would take Raila.
This has obviously brought shock to the hustlers camp who one would say were hopeful of the support of Martha Karua judging by the way she had been a critic of the BBI which was associated with Raila Odinga.
