I Will Deliver a City of Order and Dignity Sakaja Unbowed During the Cold War With Gachagua

As he engages in a cold war with the vice president, Rigathi Gachagua, Nairobi County Governor Johnston Sakaja has remained steadfast in his belief that he is governing an orderly and respectable city. In the spotlight, Sakaja discussed the plans his staff and himself are developing to assist him in managing the City.

This evening, Sakaja disclosed that Njoroge Muchiri and his team had been joined at City Hall by Principal Secretary Charles Hinga and his colleagues, with a primary focus on discussing urban development in the City.

In the midst of the recent harsh criticism from Gachagua's supporters, the county chief declared that he would keep cooperating with the national government lead by President William Ruto to create a city that was respectable and orderly.

Sakaja sentiments come at a time when Lawyer Danstan Omari took on Gachagua for interfering in the leadership of Nairobi and his viral tribal remarks that attracted public criticism a couple of weeks ago.

He noted that President Ruto directed that things be done because they are right and not because, it is the culture of doing things that way. He added that, Sakaja was right and should not be controlled by Gachagua.

"Nairobi cannot be run on politics, putting people that your tribe voted for somebody. This is a city that cannot be run in a village manner. We have a governor who says he might not be re-elected but will leave an admirable and functional City," said Lawyer Omari on K24.
