UPDATE: A section of Azimio MPS have termed the just launched Hasla Fund a ‘pyramid scheme’ aimed at edging out Fuliza, banks, and other small lenders.
Mathare Constiency MP Anthony Oluoch, Embakasi East counterpart Babau Owino and David Mwenje have among other things questioned the source of the funds and its legality.p The MPs suggest that the money may be drawn from the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) and taxes of Poor Kenyans whom Ruto has been pressuring to do so.
They vow to stop any attempt to carry out any expenditure outside the legislation & call for the consolidation of the various funds given by the government into one. The moves comes after MPs questioned why cdf money cannot be reinstated as many mps claim they use the money in community development which makes it difficult for them to go back to their constituencies as they have nothing to give back to the society
