Lonyangapuo Lose His Gubernatorial Seat To UDA Candidate; Actual Votes Revealed

The ongoing political allingnments in the arena are now in their climax as IEBC continue issuing certificates to winners. All the candidates in various elective positions gave their best where they insured that they were to deliver their seat using their political parties.

The current Governor of west pokot Lonyangapuo has lost his seat to the UDA candidate with a very small margin. The race was tight and the incumbent gave his best using the KANU party of Kenya.

He had earlier stated that he was going to maintain his seat as a governor who only came from the said political party that has ruled since independence. This was a move celebrated by his party leader though he has not delivered the seat as expected.

Simon Kapchin of UDA has garnered eighty six thousand, four hundred and forty six votes to win the 2022 gubernatorial elections. Lonyangapuo got eighty four thousand, sis hundred and ten where he emerged second in the elections. Please leave your thoughts in our comments section below.
