Fearless and no nonsense Chief Justice Martha Koome has put the Judges and the Judiciary at large on notice. This follows after she called on the EACC to undertake a comprehensive anti-corruption audit of the Judiciary in bid to restore public confidence and trust in the executive arm of Government.
Accoding to KBC Channel One, the targeted areas for an audit review include; Registry and Records Management, Financial Management, Supply Chain Management, Human Resource, Information Communication and Technology (ICT), and Communication.
Chief Justice Martha Koome was speaking during the launch of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission’s system review into the policies, procedures and practices of the Judiciary Wednesday, the Chief Justice said the fight against corruption through proactive systemic audit of the Judiciary’s systems and operations was informed by the reality that fighting and winning the war against corruption would not be won by isolated and sporadic acts
