Former Mumias East Member of Parliament Honourable Benjamin Washiali, has accused a section of Western Kenya leaders of neglecting his phone calls and text messages that he has been trying to make to them of late.
In a statement via Citizen TV on Twitter on Wednesday evening, the vocal lawmaker said that the elected leaders have been avoiding him since ascending to power in August.
He said that the elected leaders and some government officials are ignoring him even though he claims that he is trying to reach out to them so as to remind them of their constitutional obligation to serve their people.
"Some appointed leaders are not even responding to my calls or messages. And it is not just about me, several people across board have similar complaints. I wonder why someone would go mute upon election or appointment into office yet electorates need services from them," he opined.
