They say a day in politics may be a game changer. Today the county governor of Waiguru has officially joined UDA party. The party is led by deputy president William Ruto. Waiguru has ditched the ruling Jubilee party together with over 20 members of county assembly. This is a major boost to Ruto's chances of winning the presidency.
The governor has joined UDA after months of speculations. In the last few weeks she met with a number of female lawmakers. The likes of Aisha Jumwa and Susan Kihika. This was a clear indication of her eventually singing Ruto's tone. His move has made her to be labeled politically unreliable.
Ruto is looking for a running mate especially from Mount Kenya region. Anne Waiguru can be perfect for that position in the current political landscape. She can bring the votes of Mount Kenya as into one basket. At the same time she can be useful in bringing the votes of the women in the country.
