Hon Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine National Unity Platform has publicly decided to declare war against incumbent President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni's Government. This comes after the latest results in the concluded Kayunga LC5 by-elections showed that the National Resistance Movement's candidate had won. According to Kayunga District returning officer, Ms Jennifer Kyobutungi said Mr Muwonge of the National Resistance Movement got 31,830 votes against Ms Nakwedde’s 31,308 of the National Unity Platform.
The opposition has cried foul play by the government, thus deciding to lock horns. If Robert Kyagulanyi's party start the war, it could be the start of a coup in Uganda. The seat fell vacant following the death of NUP’s Mohamed Ffeffekka Sserubogo in June, after one month in office.
"We are declaring war against the NRM government, which is an imposter." NUP's Harriet Nakwedde claims that the Kayunga Chairperson by-election was rigged. In the results declared by EC, Nakwedde was beaten by NRM's Andrew Muwonge." Tweeted by NTV Uganda
