PNU Party Merges with ODM Party and Endorses Raila Odinga for Presidency

Political parties are forming political coalitions ahead of 2022 polls. This political coalitions are some of strategies of wooing more votes from different regions. More coalitions and alliances will continue to be formed ahead of the next general election.

Today PNU party merged with ODM party and endorsed the former prime minister Raila Odinga for presidency. The party of national unity formalized it's working reunion with ODM party. The parties pledged to work together ahead of the next general election.

Speaking during the event, PNU party leader Peter Munya said that they have resolved to work with ODM party just as they did with Jubilee party. He said that the party will field candidates all over Mouth Kenya region in 2022 polls. He further said that he is confident that PNU party will secure majority of seats in the region.

This merger comes ahead of Raila's tour in Mount Kenya East region this weekend. The meeting was attended by several leaders from both ODM and Jubilee parties. They include Laikipia governor Nderitu Muriithi, Homabay women representative Gladys Wanga and agriculture cabinet secretary Peter Munya who doubles as PNU party leader.
