Kenyans are going through a difficult time, and politicians are using hunger as a campaign issue. They disperse non-commercial food aid and utilize it as a vehicle for political advocacy.
In recent times, Junet Mohammed was present with a bag to distribute aid materials in his honor, although the meal wasn't offered for sale. Evidently, Junet Mohammed advertised himself via food.
When they attempted to feed the populace with food provided by the government as help, Jeremiah Kioni, the general secretary of Jubilee, incited the rage of the irate locals so they would support him. Kioni was chased away by the locals after they rejected his aid.
Politicians have received warnings about hunger and the exploitation of relief materials as storage. Dennis Itumbi urged ODM politicians and parties to utilize starving Kenyans as a tool for their political campaigns.
