Kirinyaga County governor Anne Waiguru has claimed rigging is being planned in Kirinyaga county. She added that the governor's ballot boxes have been entered into polling station through the backdoor.She added that vote counting must be stopped at once and be removed immediately.
"Rigging in broad day light - Two ballot boxes with governors' ballots enter Kirinyaga through the back door in broad daylight! They MUST be removed and counting must stop!" Anne Waiguru fired.
Anne Waiguru is competing against independent candidate Purity Ngirici,who also has massive following in the county.
Earlier today, Kirinyaga county senator Charles Kibiru who was also running for Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat, conceded defeated. He was vying under the Jubilee party,which is one of the constituents of Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance.
It will be waited to be seen if Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), will head to Anne Waiguru's call and stop vote counting until the issue is settled.
