After two days, the election day in Kenya has come and gone. Kenyans voted for the candidates running for a range of elective offices in the government, from the President to the County Assembly Members, in significant numbers. Some of the leaders received their results and were proclaimed the winners after the IEBC finished tallying the ballots.
Based on the IEBC results, The Nation Media updated the presidential election results on social media. According to the latest recent results, Raila Odinga is in second place with 49.38% of the vote, 4.94% behind Deputy President William Samoei Ruto.
According to The Nation Media, Professor George Wajackoyah of the Roots Party Kenya has 59,203 votes, Deputy William Ruto has 6,683,447 votes, Mwaure of the Agano party has 31,168 votes, and Raila Odinga has 6,607,894 votes.
