"Unless You Want To Be A Dictatorial Opposition" Ruto Sends A Warning To Raila On His Demonstration

President William Ruto has warned Raila Odinga on his planned Wednesday demonstrations in Nairobi on the proposal of the removal of the four IEBC commissioners.

Speaking during the launch of Twiga foods distribution in Kiambu, Ruto called Raila to criticize the government but not to attempt organize street demonstrations and fights which will likely endanger kenyans lives.

He has called him to seek for a better option of holding the government into account rather than the plan of protests and demonstrations in the streets which he termed as dictatorial opposition.

"I want to tell my brothers in opposition to work with us, to criticize whatever they want to criticize but let's keep the country peaceful, that's all we are asking, we want everybody to do their job. I do not think organizing demonstrations is part of holding any government to account. I want to encourage them not to drive kenyans against one another. Street demonstrations and street fights should not be part of the script of any responsible opposition, unless they want to be a dictatorial opposition," President Ruto said.

Yesterday, Raila Odinga called for countrywide demonstrations starting this Wednesday following the decision of UDA MPs plotting to removing the four IEBC commissioners from office.
