It is now common knowledge that Deputy President William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza alliance is experiencing internal strife and dysfunction.
This comes in the wake of reports that Tharaka Nithi Senator Hon. Kithure Kindiki has been removed from his (Ruto's) Presidential Campaign team and that his name has been replaced with that of Meru Senator Hon. Mithika Linturi. This, according to political analysts, could be an indication of what is happening behind the scenes after Kindiki was passed over for the position of the Running Mate a week ago. This news comes as a result of the recent emergence of confirmed reports that this development has taken place
According to a report obtained exclusively by the Nation, the campaign leaders for Deputy Prime Minister William Ruto in the Mt. Kenya East Region would be led by National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi, assisted by Linturi and Tharaka Nithi Women delegate Hon Nathan.
In other news, the Vice Chairman of the Jubilee Party, David Murathe, has stated that President Uhuru Kenyatta will not campaign for the presidential candidate of Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya, Raila Odinga, in the Mount Kenya region or anywhere else in Kenya.
