Reports indicate that the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) is set to sign a formidable coalition ahead of 2022 to take on Ruto and Raila. It was hoped earlier that the OKA would agree to work with Raila to take on William Ruto in the next year's general election.
However, Raila has been delt a huge blow after the Star newspaper indicated that OKA technical committee is preparing for a coalition that is set to be signed as soon as possible.
The OKA alliance which consist of Baringo senator Gideon Moi, ANC party leader Hon Musalia Mudavadi, Wiper party leader Hon Kalonzo Musyoka and Ford Kenya party leader Hon Moses Wetangula will have to come up with one presidential candidate and one deputy president.
Speaking recently in an interview with Emoo FM, Kalonzo Musyoka said it is his time now to serve as the president and Raila Odinga should retire from politics.“My thinking is that Uhuru should go home with Raila. If you look at the ages of all the others who want to contest for the presidency, Raila is way ahead of us,” Kalonzo said.
Though KANU had endorsed Gideon Moi as their presidential flag bearer, they will have to reconsider once the coalition has been signed and ready for elections. Do you think OKA would reconsider their decision and change their mind and support Raila? Kindly share your views.
