Freedom Fighter Dedan Kimathi's widow was recently detained in one of the hospital in Nairobi over hospital bill. Mukami Kimathi was not able to pay one million hospital bill on 12th January 2023 and the hospital was forced to detain her. According to the most recent report, Mukami Kimathi developed some breathing problems and was admitted on 5th January 2023 and discharged on 12th January 2023 but he was not able to clear the hospital bill. 
The family of Mukami Kimathi urged all Kenyans to help them to clear the hospital bill. Kenyans across the country also called the Kenya Kwanza government lead by President William Samoei Ruto and Deputy president Geoffrey Rigathi to help the family. Today Deputy President Geoffrey Rigathi Gachagua has promised to clear the hospital bill of Dedan Kimathi's widow. Kenyans have praised DP Rigathi Gachagua as follows.
