Karua challenges the political matrix of 2022 presidential election.

Martha wanjiru Karua is a well_known politician and advocate of Social justice as well as a former longtime Mp of Gichugu constituency. By now she id Raila Odinga's running mate under Azimio One Kenya coalition in Kenya.

Martha has served more as an advocate of High court. Her vast experience in law has been seen in various capacities she has served. First and foremost she has been fighting and championing for Women rights and improvement of Kenyan democratic process.

In 1991 She was awarded by Human Rights Watch as a monitor. The following year she also received from Federation from Kenyan Women Lawyers (FIDA)an award. The Irony lady as she is commonly referred to is known as a woman with her own stand in in strong political storms. Because of her experience in law she was put in charge of Ministry of justice, National cohesion and constitutional Affairs as a minister. She later resigned

She was born on 22 September 1957 in Kirinyaga District to Jackson Karua and Josephine Wanjiru Karua. She is now 64 years old. She studied in a number of schools and passed her East African certificate at Karoti Girls High school in Kirinyaga county.

She later went to University of Nairobi where she pursued Law in 1980 from 1977 to 1980.she has one daughter and one son. Her net worth is approximately $1.5 million.

She is a leader of Narc Kenya party (National Rainbow Coalition).Today she has joined worshiping at Woman's Guild Centennial Celebration at PCEA Thogoto on Sunday worship.
