Sabina Chege Breaks Silence Immediately After Chebukati Declares Presidential Winner.

Kenyans have mixed feelings about the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission's announcement of the newly elected president candidate (IEBC). This comes after the election on August 9 that was run by the independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.

Wafula Chebukati, the head of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), will announce the results of the presidential election on Monday, August 15. Chebukati said that William Samoei Ruto, the outgoing vice president who was running on the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party ticket, was the rightful candidate for president. The Azimio candidate, former prime minister Raila Amollo Odinga, came second . Professor George Luchiri Wajackoya, who is the leader of the Roots party, and Wahiga Mwaure, who is the leader of the Agano party, came in second and third, respectively.

AfterIEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati says that DP Ruto is the new president-elect, the outgoing members of the National Assembly from Murang'a break their silence. "I pray for my country, as well as for Raila's family and fans. Sabina Chege said, "May God heal our hearts."
