The relationship between the president and his deputy president William Ruto has deteriorated with each passing day.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has been less impressed with his deputy's efforts on early campaign instead on concentrating on fulfilling the government projects that the Jubilee government promised to deliver before the expiry of its mandate next year.
The president has surely had enough of his deputy's open defiance in relation to the BBI. While addressing a crowd today, the president openly critised his deputy for critising the jubilee's government.
The president was clearly at a loss to understand how his deputy was critising the government yet he was part of it. The less than impressed president went ahead to dare the president to resign. "Kama unataja ubaya wake toka! ".The president further reminded his deputy that respect was an invaluable virtue quoting the Swahili saying "heshima si utumwa. " which can be translated to mean respect is not slavery.
What do you think of the president's remarks?
