Kajiado governor Joseph Ole Lenku is using all means available to defend his gubernatorial seat in August polls. Governor Lenku is seeking reelection on a ODM party ticket.
Governor Lenku bid has received a huge boost after Kajiado Wiper party senatorial candidate Gideon Toimasi officially joined his team. The youthful candidate threw his weight behind Ole Lenku reelection bid on a ODM party ticket.
" I have officially joined governor Lenku's team and assured the governor of my support in his reelection bid" wrote the Wiper senatorial candidate Gideon Toimasi on his official Facebook page.
" We will walk together as I also seek the opportunity to represent Kajiado county as their 3rd senator" added Gideon Toimasi.
Toimasi is one of the six candidates in the race to unseat the incumbent Kajiado senator Philip Mpaayei. The other five includes; UDA candidate Seki, Jubilee candidate Moses Sakuda, ODM candidate Judith Pareno among other candidates.
Governor Lenku is also facing stiff competition from the former governor David Nkedianye of ruling Jubilee party and legislator Katoo Ole Metito of UDA party.
