Earlier on this evening, reports streamed in that a man impersonating an Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission Officer was arrested at Quivers Lounge in Nairobi County.
This evening, according to the available reliable reports from the Official Social Media Handle of the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission, they have revealed the nature of the arrest of the man.
EACC officers arrested Mr. Ibrahim Ngamau Wangari, who was posing as an EACC Investigator and thus extorting money from unsuspecting individuals allegedly to “protect them from investigations."
He was taken to the Integrity Centre Police Station and then later transferred to the Kilimani Police Station in Nairobi County for processing.
Ngamau was arrested at the Quivers Lounge, in Nairobi County following a complaint that was launched by a businessman who was among the Millers that were enlisted by the previous Government to supply subsidized maize flour before the August 9th General Elections.
He had claimed that he was investigating the Ministry of Agriculture ad well as some suppliers and that is why he requested the audience with the supplier at Quivers Lounge.
