Elgeyo Marakwet Gubernatorial nominee has settled on a woman as his preferred running mate in the upcoming general elections,Wesley Rotich who recently trounced other UDA candidates unveiled Grace Cherotich Cheserek as his Deputy yesterday,while unveiling her,Rotich claimed that he researched well before he decided to pick Professor Cheserek for the position,he further added that Ms Cherotich will bring her vast experience to Elgeyo Marakwet in order to compete with other counties.

According to Rotich her Deputy governor is a good resource mobilizer who will help in assembling resources for the county government and bring in donors,the gubernatorial nominee added that Cheserek has friends who can invest in their county and make Elgeyo Marakwet a businesses hub in the country,Cheserek is said to be a good conflict resolver who will help plan in ending the consistent fights in Kerio Valley.

The two professionals are seeking to end the continued banditry attacks in Kerio Valley which has been affecting residents of the region.
