According to Raila's man Philip Etale, the legislator who hails from Mt Kenya region has gone around the streets of his Igembe North as he urged the residents to turn out in large numbers to welcome the former Prime Minister in the region.
The National Assembly Deputy Chief Whip Maoka said that Raila would be making a trip to the miraa growing zone and vote-rich Igembe region.
The former PM is expected start his Meru County tour as he seeks to consolidate votes from the region ahead of the year’s general election.

His tour in the region comes barely weeks when the leaders of Meru county hosted him in Nairobi hotel in a function presided by the Mount Kenya Foundation chaired by Titus Ibui.
Ahead of his tour in the region, the ODM boss promised to ensure residents and farmers from Meru County and the larger Ameru community get value for their farm produce.
