A first-term governor from western Kenya is the latest talk of the town. This is after the county boss decided to allegedly hire a former governor from the Mt Kenya region to help him create his first cabinet. The Ex-governor from central Kenya is reported to have brought along a former women representative from the same region for this noble assignment.
Sources aware of this development have intimated that the two have already held several meetings to deliberate on suitable nominees for various County Executive Committee (CEC) positions available. They have also been deliberating on individuals to fill up those available chief officer posts.
Word has it that the governor has offered them high-end cars that have been taking them around as they discharge their mandate. He also rented them an expensive hotel from where they have been operating.
Like that is not enough, he hired private bodyguards for the security of that former governor and the former women representative. Handlers of this governor have been rattled by the actions of their boss with his advisors wondering why he bypassed them to hire strangers for such an important task.
Speculations are rife that one of the advisors has leaked the story to the main opponent of the governor in the recently concluded elections who is looking for an influential blogger to help expose the governor. The two have until the end of this week to hand in the list of cabinet nominees.
