What Gladys Boss Sholei Has Done to her Electorates That has Left Many Talking

Uasin Gishu women representative Gladys Boss Sholei on Thursday empowerment cheques worth Sh 4.5 million to his electorates.

Speaking during the exercise Sholei said her aim is to ensure that his electorates are empowered financially.

"Today I have distributed empowerment cheque worth Sh 4.5 million to 42 groups comprising of Women and Youth , my aim is to ensure that this groups have something to do for them to earn a living," said Uasin Gishu women representative while speaking to the press. 

Sholei is a staunch supporter of the deputy president William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid. 

Sholei also disbursed bursaries to worth 3.8 million shillings to bright and needy students. 

"I have also distributed bursary wroth she 3.8 million shillings to 400 bright and needy students where we will pay for theirbfeew untill they complete their secondary education," she said. 

The event took place at Deputy County Commissioner's Office, Kapsoya

The Uasin Gishu women representative further said that her aim is to ensure that no bright student from poor background stay at home due to lack of school fees. 

"I want to call upon Uasin Gishu residents to forward names of bright and needy students to my office and I promise to use the little money I have to ensure that they continue with their education," she added. 

The beneficiaries came from each sub-county.

Concerning the Building Bridges Initiative Bills, applauded the court terming the bill as null and void. 

"The BBI bill is uconstitutional and the move by the court terming it as null and void is highly welcomed," Sholei said.
