The deputy president, William Ruto, has been making inroads to various corners of the country seeking for votes ahead of the August polls. Ruto has been marketing the bottom up economic model which he intends to use once he gets elected. Ruto had also been drumming support for UDA party.
After completing a five days tour in Nairobi and Machakos counties, the deputy president stormed into West Pokot county to spread the Hustler Nation gospel. The area governor is John Lonyangapuo who seemingly sides with Azimio la Umoja coalition.
Mammoth crowds gathered in different centers to welcome the second in command. The residents agreed to back Ruto's presidential bid as well as support UDA party. In general, Ruto's West Pokot visit was majorly a success.
However, there are some incidences that happened in the rallies which have turned to be the talk in the internet. One of the hustlers in Sigor was holding a placard bearing some interesting words that have now caught the attention of many Kenyans.
The placard was written "VAR IEBC Decision, The 5th President: Dr William Samoei Ruto in, Mr Raila A Odinga Out."
The words have some relationship with soccer. Video Assistant Referee (VAR) have become very common in the modern football. The referring technology assists the center referee in making the final decision during a football match. Some soccer fans have however expressed their dissatisfaction with this new referring technology due to various controversial decisions that have been made.
In simple terms, the Ruto supporter was meaning that after the August election, IEBC will review the results and announce William Ruto as the fifth president.
Kenyans have reacted to these writings with a section agreeing that Ruto will win in the polls. Others have however disagreed arguing that there are other candidates who stand better chances than Ruto.
