Governor Orengo Reveals Some Of The Goodies They Have Bagged During Ruto Tour.

Siaya county governor James Orengo has lauded president William Ruto for touring the county which is the home of former prime minister Raila Odinga who was President William Ruto's main opponent in the August 2022 General elections.

The governor while speaking at the Thanksgiving of Information Communications and digital economy cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo, revealed the details of the agreement that they made with president William Ruto after presenting to him list of the projects that they would want the National government to support in the county.

According to the Orange Democratic Movement party governor the president agreed to fund majority of the projects they presented to him.

He revealed that after flying with the president from Bondo where he launched the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology Blue Economy Research Hub to Rarieda at Owalo’s home, they were able to see the bad state of major roads and the president agreed to fund their construction for instance in Rarieda, he promised to fund the tarmacking of Kamito-Ka Elija Road.

Orengo revealed that the president agreed to avail for the a better rice mill that will be used by rice farmers in Alego Usonga. The head of state also committed to support the fish farming in Luanda Kotieno by helping in the completion of fish plant that has stalled.

The head of state also asked governor Orengo to support the farming in Siaya county and promised to support where necessary especially by availing farm inputs. He promised to purchase 20 tractors to help in farming.

About the water project along River Nzoia, the president challenged the governor to do his part as the head of the county.
