Cracks have started to emerge within the Kenya Kwanza team after The Service Party (TSP) party leader Mwangi Kiunjuri allegedly opted for solo rallies after reports that the major parties in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance have no regard and respect for the small parties.
While addressing the press on Tuesday, May 24, ex-CS Mwangi Kiunjuri claimed there is blatant favouritism of parties in the coalition, arguing that 'small parties' from the Mount Kenya region have been ignored. Kiunjuri went ahead to say that most of the parties from Mt Kenya have been sidelined especially during campaigns with the three major rallies literally taking over everything.
"Common sense dictates that when you are in a coalition, you need to work as a team. You cannot pretend in the day that you are in a coalition and at night you are not," Kiunjuri stated.
Just as Kiunjuri admits this bitter reality, DP Ruto's running mate has also admitted that his choice of running mate for Ruto has divided Mt Kenya. While speaking at Inooro FM, Gachagua said that the earlier support that Ruto used to enjoy from the mountain seems to be declining.
"I had led these people for four years and we were okay then. We differed when this seat came up for grabs," said Gachagua while speaking on Inooro FM.
