Kenyans are expected to go for a general elections in August 2022. This is according to the Kenyan constitution and therefore Independent Elections and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) the body mandated to conducts elections in Kenya set to see that the elections are free fair and credible.
So far a number of politicians have declared their interest in the top most seat in the land. The includes the deputy president William Ruto, Opposition chief Raila Odinga, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, KANU leader Gideon Moi among other leaders.
Of all these leaders who have decleared their interest, William Ruto is currently a worrying candidate. The deputy president since he parted ways with the president all seem to be against him.
All other political leaders and presidential hopefuls are seemed to be "state machineries" who have no intentions of being the president but rather have intentions of supporting one of them so as to block Ruto presidency.
This includes the formation of One Kenya Alliance, the handshake, Raila's endorsement by the central business community etc.
